We show the translation — you type the foreign word letter by letter. This is WordSteps' most demanding exercise: it forces recall of not just meaning but exact spelling — silent letters, double consonants, apostrophes, all of it. Words truly stick after this exercise. Typos aren't counted as a full miss — the system highlights exactly which characters were wrong, so you immediately see and remember correctly. Works equally well on a desktop keyboard and a phone on-screen keyboard.
