stuff
[ 'stʌf ]
1. Miscellaneous things as in, "She packed all her stuff in a box." 2. Courage, strength, tenacity as in, "The athlete had the right stuff to compete in the Olympics." 3. To fill a chicken or turkey with a mixture of seasoned bread crumbs, chestnuts, oysters, etc.

[ 'lə:nt ]
1. Past tense of learn. Same meaning as learnt. (Pronounced "lernd" with a soft "d" rather than the sharper "t" sound) 2. Highly educated (Pronounced "lern-id") as in "The learned scholar had achieved advanced degrees from several universities."
box
[ bɔks ]
1. A cardboard or wooden container for storing or shipping stuff. 2. To fight, as in, "He put on his gloves and entered the ring to box with his opponent."
fine
[ fain ]
1. Very nice, well made, as in "She wore fine jewelery." 2. A penalty or tax, as in, "The police officer gave him a fine for going over the speed limit."
action
[ 'ækʃən ]
1. Doing something, as in, "The quick action of the firefighters saved the burning building." 2. The working parts of a gun, machine or instrument, as in, "bolt action rifle". 3. Slang for gambling, as in, "I got some action at the blackjack table." 4. Slang for sex, as in, "She got some action from her boyfriend last night."

[ 'taiə ]
1. To make weary, as in, "I noticed the tire in his eyes after too much discussion." 2. The rubber part of a wheel, as in, "I got a flat tire on my car."
