00:00:04
SEAN PLOTT: Yes!
00:00:05
Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
00:00:06
Let's do our usual bit where
we announce the date.
00:00:09
It is currently Tuesday,
September 18th, 2012.
00:00:13
My name is Sean Plott.
00:00:15
BILL GRANER: And I'm
Bill Graner.
00:00:17
SEAN BOUCHARD: And I'm
Sean Bouchard.
00:00:18
SEAN PLOTT: And this is
MetaDating, Episode Two,
00:00:20
whereby we three embark upon
the adventures of playing
00:00:24
through a variety of
romantically-themed video
00:00:26
games that may or may not
capture anything remotely
00:00:29
close to [INAUDIBLE] love.
00:00:31
Last week, we played the pigeon
dating simulator,
00:00:35
Hatoful Boyfriend, which
was excellent.
00:00:42
You know, I guess I would throw
to you, Bill, first
00:00:45
about your pigeon dating
experience.
00:00:47
And also, we kind of did some
research on the game more
00:00:50
after we played it.
00:00:51
And it turns out there's a lot
of sweet crazy things that can
00:00:54
happen that we didn't see.
00:00:57
BILL GRANER: Yeah.
00:00:57
Well first of all, I
want to say that--
00:01:01
so obviously, we were having a
good old time last time, and
00:01:05
there was a lot there.
00:01:08
You'll recall we lived in a
cave, and at some point we ran
00:01:12
past some ruined buildings, and
I think Sean Bouchard and
00:01:20
I, we sort of texted each other
in the middle of the
00:01:23
night the same thing, which is
like, holy crap, it's actually
00:01:28
a horrible sort of world.
00:01:32
It's like pigeon post-apoc,
something's going on.
00:01:36
So I think Sean looked more into
the wiki, but I think we
00:01:41
were right on the verge of
something, and that was
00:01:43
corroborated by some
emails we got.
00:01:45
SEAN BOUCHARD: There was
serious, serious
00:01:48
world-building going on that
wasn't totally obvious from
00:01:52
the 8-bit images of pigeons
just pasted onto the--
00:02:02
I guess that was not eight,
but the MS Paint quality
00:02:07
images, I guess.
00:02:08
SEAN PLOTT: What was the thing
that you were saying, that
00:02:10
there was like a head
you could find in
00:02:12
the doctor's office?
00:02:12
SEAN BOUCHARD: Yeah
no, totally.
00:02:13
So I was totally creeped out by
the doctor, to be fair, and
00:02:18
apparently that fear was
justified because there's an
00:02:21
ending of the game where he cuts
off your head and puts it
00:02:26
in a box, like a whole
Kevin Spacey
00:02:31
thing, except with pigeons.
